• BOOK REVIEWS

As a passionate bookworm, I delight in writing insightful reviews of books that captivate my attention and deeply resonate with me. My book genre favorites are broad; however, I've only reviewed children's fiction, Christianity, and light-hearted suspense, thus far. I'll incorporate other book genres in the near future. In my spare time, I frequently browse public online library book catalogs for exciting reads on Amazon Kindle. When reading a story, I aim to identify key components like the plot, the antagonist, the protagonist, and the climax. As an aspiring author, I like to give "kudos" to authors for the labor they invested in writing their books. Since giving credit where credit is due is common practice, I have seized the opportunity to help get eyeballs on undiscovered books and exposure for authors.

The children's fiction book, "A Bug Flew Into My Ear!" was authored by retired educator, Sharon D. Rhoads. The book was expertly written, precise, clear, and generous with creativity. It's a story about a young boy (the main character) facing a distressing dilemma he eagerly longs to escape. Upon discovering a bug in his ear, the young boy is perplexed and paralyzed with fear. Having an insect securely lodged in his ear was an annoyance and an unsettling situation for him. His mind was suddenly bombarded with tormenting questions, clouding his thinking and activating his wild imagination. In a moment of desperation, the boy searched for solutions to rid his ear of the nuisance. Eventually, he experienced immediate relief after Dr. Rubble successfully removed the bug. The captivating story remained consistent in its use of imagery, poetic structure, and vivid illustrations throughout.
